chapter 10-12

In the story "Anthem" by Ayn Rand one of the quotes that is in the terms of life that i chose were "there was a spirit which moved it was a spirit of mans freedom which i think means that freedom is not easy to find but no matter what someone will always find freedom somehow. My second quote is "we look ahead we beg our hearts for guidance in answering this call no voice has spoken." I think this quote means that because of how bad or crazy the world is we follow what we hear.

chapter 7-9

In the story "Anthem" by Ayn Rand equality 7-2521 doesn't feel anything basically in the begining because that was how he was raised, for example they couldn't look at themselves they couldn't talk to girls they were ordered around did what they were told no questions asked but now he see's that the city is evil and that he was good he wasn't the sinner he was having fun.

Chapter 3-6

In the story Anthem by Ayn Rand, Equality 7-2521 discovers electricity in the story it says that he uses the lightning out of the sky to make his power and he connects wires and they produce light. This discovery is really important to Equality 7-2521 because he thinks that if he gives it to the scholars the council will forgive him for all the sins he committed. So it is basically a get out of jail free card in his opinion, and it might work in the story he imagines the whole world basically powered by the sky. He thinks he will also become part of the scholars instead of being a street sweeper.

Chapter 2

In the story the Anthem by Ayn Rand i think the unspeakable word is freedom because their is no freedom in their society, so it think it is punishable by death because the council doesn't want their perfect society to learn about freedom and try to gain it so they kill them before they can get the word out. Its rediscovery could  lead to the people overthrowing the council and taking their country to do what they want.

chapter one

The society in Anthem can be compared to the dark ages.  For example in the story the people are basically manipulated and do what ever the council tells them, but they are raised to be scared and do what their told they don't even talk to others. If the council says it goes like in the story if you spoke the unspeakable word you die. I think this place is a grey boring place so no i would not want to live in their society because they don't talk they do what they are told.
